The Sea Of Thieves Treasure Hunt!

Xbox France organized a giant Sea Of Thieves treasure hunt today in several cities, including Paris! I said to myself why not participate 🙂 Spoiler: I don’t regret :p

To participate in this Sea Of Thieves treasure hunt, nothing could be simpler, just follow the Twitter account ofXboxFRand answer a few riddles. With my first two clues in my pocket, namely a latitude but also a “very popular place” for tourists, I immediately thought of the Saint Jacques Tower in PARIS Châtelet and the last clue confirmed my suspicions. Unfortunately with my nearsightedness I saw the first keys leave (there were 10 in all)!!!! And then a very nice event happened! Realizing that I was having a hard time, a young man helped me by indicating an area to look for and after several unsuccessful searches (I didn't see an elephant in a corridor) I finally found a key! It's nice to see that in 2019 mutual aid still exists, I loved this rather unusual moment but above all I hope to be able to see this Nathan again who helped me a lot 🙂

With my key in hand we then had an appointment at “Barberousse” Rue Quincampoix in Paris, to try to open a safe! The “Barberousse”, this bar was just the perfect place to meet up with Pirates of Sea Of Thieves :). Once there I was impressed by the decor of this superb bar, but also by the impressive setup of the Xbox FR team. Usually being the "black cat" on duty (34 years of bad luck under my belt), I had already gotten used to the idea that my key wouldn't open anything (it looked like my broom cupboard key lol).

It was then that the brave pirate, Greenbeard, came to look for me, asking me to open a first rather large chest, and obviously it did not open because my key was too big 🙂  For me the matter was over, but the pirate asked me to open a second chest and miraculously, my key unlocked the padlock of the second chest!!!!!!! I couldn't believe it, for the first time in over thirty years, I won at an event lol. What is certain is that this pirate chest was full! It contained an Xbox One Needless to say, my children already love this pirate chest, it will make a great toy box :p

I still can't believe it this evening, I feel like I'm dreaming with my magnificent trunk lol, I'm going to have trouble sleeping I think!!! I would like to thank the Xbox France team who graciously offered me an Uber to get home! In fact, returning with this superb trunk via public transport from Panam was not necessarily a good idea lol! Thanks to the organizers for the uber 🙂

I had a truly incredible time during this very original Sea Of Thieves treasure hunt in Paris! I initially thought I was just having a good time with Xbox players, but at no point did I imagine winning a superb pirate chest :) . Many thanks to Team Xbox France with its boss Mr. Hugues Ouvrard for this superb treasure hunt!  Thanks to you too Nathan, I hope I can buy you a drink (pirate rum :p) but also be able to give you some goodies from the trunk 🙂 .
